Microsoft Exchange 2007 Competence @ Cronos

Introduction

For most businesses today, e-mail is the mission-critical communications tool that allows their people to produce the best results. This greater reliance on e-mail has increased the number of messages sent and received, the variety of work getting done, and even the speed of business itself. Amid this change, employee expectations have also evolved. Cronos / Uptime Experience

As an early technology adopter, Cronos has been involved in the first Exchange 2007 beta programs which are guided by Microsoft Worldwide. Because of the involment in this beta program, our consultants have gained already detailed knowledge on the product. We’d like to mention some of our proven competencies at present:

  • Exchange 2007 Rapid Deployment Program
    Microsoft created this program worldwide to give their Gold Partners the possibility to experience a live production migration towards a beta 2 version of Exchange 2007 at one of the company’s selected customers. For Belgium, Cronos was the only one selected to take membership in this program. This first beta 2 migration was composed of a consolidation / migration of an existing Exchange 5.5 organization (17 sites) towards a single Exchange 2007 server in their headquarters.   • Microsoft LEAP Program
    Mid October, Microsoft Belgium created the LEAP – Love Early Adopters Program – towards 50 of their certified partners, to guide them in preparing the migration of their own in-house IT-infrastructure towards Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange 2007. Cronos / Uptime have been selected as one of two partners to develop an overall project guide by acting as a project manager towards these companies.   • Exchange 2007 Discovery Program / POC
    To help existing and new customers gain experience on Exchange 2007 technologies, Cronos / Uptime renewed the existing Exchange 2003 Discovery Program for the Exchange 2007 product. During a 3-days session at the customers’ site on temporary hardware (or virtual environment), our consultants explain all features and aspects of Exchange 2007; together with the customer team we discuss how and why to migrate. During a couple of weeks, the customer can ‘play’ with this environment, having fully assistance support from Cronos / Uptime Servicedesk. Finally, a closing meeting is scheduled to pinpoint the next steps, if wanted.
  • Exchange 2007 Discovery Program / POC
    Started with the Cronos Summertour 2006, Uptime consultants gave 3 different seminars on indepth aspects of Exchange 2007 product, deployment and security features.
    Those seminars will be refreshed and put again on schedule for December and January.
