Cronos was founded in 1991 by Jef de Wit, the no-nonsense manager with a straightforward and unique long term vision(10 years), who is still in charge of the company today.
The basic idea was to explore an emerging ICT market, one that showed at least a 25% growth for 5 consecutive years. In order to acquire the necessary knowledge to become the leader in services provision for this target market, Cronos had to focus on one niche development.
Cronos then tried to broaden the niche services they offered into a volume business - with sustained growth - while evolving to a provider of solutions. Once this cycle was completed successfully for one market, the same concept was repeated for another market.
But contrary to the King's advice, Cronos didn't stop.
We can now say with total confidence that the initial business development concept and strategy worked. Cronos is one of Belgium's success stories .
Throughout the years, Cronos gathered an amazing amount of experience in architecting, implementing and supporting business and ICT solutions for a wide variety of markets.
